ArmInfo.Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan met with Beirut City Council member Aram Malyan, who arrived in Yerevan to participate in the Erebuni-Yerevan 2800 festivities.
According to the press service of the city administration, Marutyan expressed readiness to develop and raise relations with Beirut to a new level.
In turn, Malyan expressed the conviction that there is a serious potential for development of interaction between the two capitals and stated about readiness to promote deepened interaction. On the same day, Marutyan held a meeting with Didier Parakian, Deputy Mayor of Marseille.At the meeting, the Mayor of Yerevan highly appreciated the level of interaction that has developed between Marseille and the capital of Armenia for 26 years, and expressed the conviction that by joint efforts they will be able to implement a number of new projects in the future. Meanwhile, Parakian assured that he would do everything in his power to strengthen the interaction between the two cities.
Yerevan Mayor also met with Deputy Governor of St. Petersburg Anna Mityanina. Marutyan at the meeting noted the importance of continuing the development of cooperation in various areas of the urban economy, substantive cooperation in the field of healthcare, in particular the implementation of projects for the exchange of experience in the direction of modernization of polyclinics. Mityanina, in turn, expressed her belief that Yerevan is a trusted partner of the northern capital of Russia. Foreign delegations that arrived in Yerevan to participate in the birthday of the capital also visited the memorial complex of the victims of the Armenian Genocide "Tsitsernakaberd" and paid tribute to the memory of innocent victims.
