ArmInfo. For many people, the appointment of former deputy head of the RA Police Hunan Poghosyan to the post of the governor of Syunik region may seem strange, however, this decision fits into the logic of post-revolutionary developments. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this at an extraordinary meeting of the RA Government on October 16.
According to him, today the main task of the country's authorities is to mobilize the entire potential of the people, and no one should be prosecuted for serving the former authorities. "There are times for barricades, and there are times to unlock them," the head of government stressed. He added that in Armenia everyone is equal before the law. "We don't close our doors for work in the public administration system," Nikol Pashinyan stressed. He noted that currently 90% of the public administration employees are people who served the former authorities. Of course, the Prime Minister continued among these 90% there are people who refuse to work with the current government. Moreover, they are trying in every way to harm the work of the new government, often resorting to attempts at sabotage. "In any case, today's appointment is symbolic. I believe that we are going the right way, uniting all the existing potential, "Nikol Pashinyan stressed.
To recall, the government of Armenia at a meeting on October 10 decided to appoint three governors. I ask you not to look for subtext in my words and decisions," he wrote, stressing that he always acted according to his conscience. "I have always served, and I will serve the Republic of Armenia, wherever this service is required, and if I am sure that I can give maximum to my state and people," the statement of Hunan Poghosyan read.
