ArmInfo. The Russian government approved a draft agreement on the establishment of an International Bureau for the investigation of aviation accidents and serious incidents - an alternative of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) in the EEU countries.
The document submitted by the Ministry of Transport, published by RBC with reference to the website of the Cabinet. The International Bureau will provide an "independent and impartial" investigation of air crashes in the EEU countries, develop a common set of rules to deal with such incidents, and upgrade the skills of specialists who find out the circumstances of aircraft crashes. The organization's budget will be formed from contributions from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan. The draft agreement provides for bringing the laws of the EEU countries in line with the rules of investigation of air crashes, developed on the basis of the documents of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
