ArmInfo. There has been a positive trend in relations between Armenia and Moldova recently. This was discussed at the meeting of Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on October 9 with Foreign Minister and European Integration of Moldova Tudor Ulyanovsky, who arrived in Yerevan to attend the 35th meeting of the Ministerial Council of Francophone.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, the meeting participants focused on issues on the agenda of bilateral relations. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Moldova stressed the need for consistent work towards expanding cooperation. The Armenian Foreign Minister presented to his Moldavian counterpart the political developments and the process of ongoing reforms in the country. Highlighting the development agenda of innovations and information technologies as government priorities, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in these areas and the implementation of joint programs.
In the context of the 35th meeting of the Ministerial Meeting and the 17th summit of the Francophonie, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Moldova exchanged views on the decisions and documents to be adopted within these events.
The Armenian Minister presented to his colleague the approaches and priorities of Armenia's foreign policy on a number of international and regional issues. In particular, the position of Armenia on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was presented.
