ArmInfo. There are no hidden messages regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the congratulatory addresses of US President Donald Trump in honor of Independence Day of Armenia (September 21) and Azerbaijan (May 28).
This was stated on 9 October in Yerevan, in a conversation with journalists, by US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills, completing his mission in Armenia, referring to the content of congratulations from President Trump on the occasion of the Independence Days of Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to the American diplomat, political events were observed in both countries, - last year's elections in Azerbaijan and dramatic events in Armenia this spring. Mills believes that Trump, in his messages, said that there are new trends and moods in both countries that can help find and stimulate new solutions. "This is a manifestation of hope and expectations," the ambassador recalled that in the congratulatory telegram of Armenia on the occasion of Independence Day, Trump noted that the coming months offer opportunities for resolving the Karabakh conflict, which could also open new opportunities for Armenian-American cooperation.
