ArmInfo. Within the framework of cooperation of the Armed Forces of the two Armenian states, Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan, accompanied by Chief of General Staff Artak Davtyan, visited Artsakh.
The press service of the RA Ministry of Defense told ArmInfo that Davtyan, together with the head of Artsakh Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan, met with the commanders, who discussed issues related to ensuring the combat capability and cooperation of the armed forces of the two countries. Touching on the Karabakh problem, Tonoyan emphasized that the political leadership of Armenia prefers a peaceful settlement of the conflict through negotiations.
The Armenian Defense Minister called on the command to adhere to the instructions of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to observe the truce regime. "Negotiations aimed at the peaceful settlement of the conflict can be prolonged for various reasons. Considering all this, the Armenian armed forces must ensure a steady increase in combat readiness," Tononyan said.
