Armenian President Armen Sargsyan signed decrees on the appointment of new ministers of transport, communications and IT, energy infrastructures and natural resources, and on emergency situations. According to the President's Office, Felix Tsolakyan, the former deputy head of the National Security Service, the former deputy from the RPA faction, was appointed Minister of Emergency Situations.
The Transport Ministry will be headed by Hakob Arshakyan, the first deputy minister of the same department, a member of the board of the Civil Contract party. The Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia will be headed by Deputy Minister Garegin Baghramyan, who previously headed the Tariff Policy Directorate of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia On the night of October 3, Armenian President Armen Sargsyan, at the suggestion of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, signed decrees on the dismissal of six ministers who represented the PPA and ARF in the government, who supported legislative amendments aiming to block the holding of early parliamentary elections.
