ArmInfo. The importance of  early elections to the National Assembly is to make it clear to those  who do not fit into the realities of the new Armenia that they have  no place in politics. Vahan Kostanyan, representative of the My Step  unit, said this at a press conference on September 24.

Kostanyan noted that politicians who do not fit in with the realities  of the new Armenia would be more likely to deal with the business  they are familiar with, namely, business. "We have postponed the  early parliamentary elections so that these politicians will get used  to the situation, but now, after enough time has passed, we believe  that the time has come for holding early elections." Elections to the  Council of Elders of Yerevan clearly showed the will of the people,  the fact that the bloc "My step" won 81% of the vote proves that the  National Assembly does not reflect the mood of the people, in  addition, after the elections we will understand who is the power and  who is the opposition, "Kostanyan said. The representative of My Step  also noted that in the near future the parliament will hold  discussions with parliamentary and non-parliamentary political forces  on the subject of early elections. "In the near future, discussions  will be held in the parliament with the participation of four  factions, and in the near future the reform of the Electoral Code  will end, and I think the most favorable period for the holding of  parliamentary elections will come," Kostanyan said.

In his turn, the representative of Prosperous Armenia Party Arman  Abovyan stated that no one except the people has the right to speak  on his behalf. "Nobody except the people has the right to decide  whether the early parliamentary elections will be held or not.If the  people clearly express their position and decide to go to early  elections, it will be so." The main thing for us is the desire of the  citizens of Armenia, "Abovyan said.

David Hakobyan from the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" party noted that if the  early parliamentary elections are held, the ARFD will certainly take  part in them. However, he said that he does not have the authority to  express the party's point of view. "As a citizen of Armenia, I am for  it, but this is my personal position," Hakobyan stressed.

Representatives of the Luys bloc Ani Samson and Heritage Party  Andranik Gogorian also stressed that they are supporters of early  elections to the National Assembly. Ani Samsonyan stated that the  "Luys" bloc in the early parliamentary elections will act in the same  composition as in the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan.
