ArmInfo. As of 6:00pm September 23, 39 alarms on violations during the elections to the Council of Elders have been received through the "hot line" of the Human Rights Defender Office.
As ArmInfo was informed by the press-office of the Human Rights Defender, 12 reports related to impossibility of participation in elections because of having residence permit of less then 6 months and 11 alarms related to inaccessibility to elections of physically disabled people. "The reports also related to the possibility of voting by ID cards, non -receiving leaflets etc. The Human Rights Defender Office provided consultation to the citizens on all the cases," the Office informed, adding that the "hot line" also received a message from the citizen that he was taken to the Mashtots police station last night on suspicion of bribing voters, where he was held until 06:00am in the morning. The office of the human rights defender is investigating this issue. The Human Rights Defender Office also informed that the MP of the National Assembly, candidate for mayor of Yerevan Naira Zohrabyan also addressed them.
