ArmInfo. The prosecutor's office of Yerevan instituted criminal proceedings on the fact of giving and receiving a pre-election bribe.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, on September 22 the police received a signal that one of the residents of Yerevan living on Arzumanyan Street received a pre-election bribe of 40,000 drams, promising to vote for the candidate of one of the parties taking part in the early elections to the mayor's office of the capital. This information was confirmed, however, the citizen did not manage to return the bribe to the law enforcement bodies, as most of them were spent. A criminal case was initiated on 154.2. article of the RA Criminal Code.
A preliminary investigation into this case will be carried out by the Special Investigation Service (CAS) of Armenia.
