ArmInfo. First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received on September 18 the director of the Armenian mission of USAID, Deborah Grieser. According to the press service of the government, the first vice-premier stressed the importance of Armenia's cooperation with USAID, noting that the programs implemented by the Agency are consonant with the policies and priorities of the new government of Armenia.
During the meeting, both the implemented programs, the recorded results, as well as the forthcoming projects that will contribute to ensuring Armenia's economic growth, development of democracy, increasing efficiency in public administration, and enhancing the institutional capacities of the communities were discussed. The interlocutors also discussed the assistance of the electoral processes in Armenia, stressed the importance of holding free and transparent elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan, as well as extraordinary parliamentary elections.
