ArmInfo. If the Special Investigation Service has evidence that the serviceman Tigran Abgaryan was killed on March 1, 2008 by representatives of a special detachment, then a charge must be pressed, lawyer of the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan Hayk Alumyan stated on September 14 at a press conference.
The lawyer noted that the employees of the relevant structures are trying to present "stunning" information about the events connected with the case on March 1, in order to divert attention from themselves. With the same purpose, according to him, information about money laundering by Robert Kocharyan is being spread. "To make such serious statements, it is necessary to at least put forward an accusation and have a court decision that came into force." There is still no charge, there is not enough evidence, while loud statements are being made, "Alumyan stressed.
"All of us want the case on March 1to be disclosed. But for this it is necessary not to make loud statements, but to obtain the necessary evidence and initiate criminal cases," concluded Alumyan.
To note, on September 11, at a press conference, the head of the SIS, Sasun Khachatryan, stated that the serviceman Tigran Abgaryan was killed by a special forces serviceman. "Today we can say with certainty that he was killed by a special forces serviceman. We have clear evidence that Abgaryan was killed when the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan introduced a state of emergency, although there was no serviceman with gunshot wounds yet ", Khachatryan noted. He added that the reason for the murder of Abgaryan was Kocharyan's statement that there are already victims, although they were not actually there, and it was necessary to justify it. According to him, there is also evidence that the army was shooting at people, and in the direction of houses. "In addition, there is factual evidence that military uniforms and bulletproof vests were handed out to the oligarchs' wards from the warehouses of the Defense Ministry, and of course it is understandable for what purpose: that they do not differ from military servicemen and carry out provocations," the head of the SIS said. He added that the biggest crime was that the servicemen were turned into contractors, and there are specific lists of military men who received money from the oligarchs to protect their houses these days. To recall, on March 1, 2008, carrying a service in the Grigor Lusavorich street, Tigran Abgaryan received a cross-cutting gunshot wound in the neck and was taken to the hospital, where on April 11, not recovering consciousness, he died. The investigation did not establish the circumstances under which the murder was committed.
