ArmInfo.Armenia and Tajikistan mutually recognize the diplomas of all degrees and certificates of education. The intergovernmental Armenian-Tajik agreement on bilateral recognition and comparability of educational qualifications, academic degrees and titles was ratified at a meeting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on September 12.
Presenting the draft document, RA Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan noted that for the purpose of active cooperation in the field of education and science, the sides took upon themselves a number of obligations. "In particular, diplomas on basic education, secondary education, a certificate and an insert of secondary education, certificates and inserts on secondary professional education, academic certificates and diplomas on completion of studies in magistracy, as well as postgraduate study are recognized bilaterally," stressed Arayik Harutyunyan. He added that ratification of this agreement will allow bringing educational standards and quality of teaching to the international level. The Minister also said that currently six students from Tajikistan study in Armenia.
