ArmInfo. It is necessary to strengthen the institution of referendums in Armenia, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated on this August 17 at a rally, summarizing the results of the 100 days in power.
According to him, the matter concerns both local and national referendums, on which the most important decisions for the country are to be made. Thus, the Prime Minister continued, the people will determine which decisions to make.
He stressed once again that the power in the country belongs to the people, who are directly governing from the Republic Square. The government of Armenia is now accountable exclusively to the people, presenting to it the results of its activities on the main square of the country. "This square becomes the supreme body of state power," said Nikol Pashinyan, comparing Armenia with ancient Greece.
