ArmInfo. First Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia, Jun Yamada.
As the press service of the Armenian government reports, Mirzoyan expressed confidence that due to joint efforts it will be possible to raise the Armenian-Japanese partnership to a new level, expanding cooperation programs. In particular, the interlocutors noted the prospects for deepening cooperation in the field of solar energy, innovative agriculture, earthquake resistant construction, information technology, culture and tourism.
To note according to official statistics, the trade turnover between Armenia and Japan for January- December 2017 amounted to 81.5 million dollars, recording a 56.7% growth. At the same time, exports reached about 492 thousand dollars with an increase of 29.6%, and imports - about 81 million dollars with growth of 56.9%.
