ArmInfo. The revolution and political changes in Armenia did not lead to an economic recession, as it usually happens at the background of such events, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated at a government meeting on August 9.
According to him, he is satisfied with the economic results of the first half of the year. According to official statistics, as he pointed out, in June economic activity reached 9.6%, and in the first six months the figure was 8.9%. According to the Prime Minister, it is encouraging that there is activity on the real estate market, the construction sector has revived .
At the same time, as the head of the government noted, sometimes alarms are received that the government's accents have led to a certain tension among a number of businessmen. The Prime Minister noted that perhaps such an impression is wrong, since all actions of the government are aimed at making positive changes for business. "Our actions are aimed at, first, not to hinder business, and secondly to assist it," he said.
Besides, referring to the leadership of the State Revenue Committee, Pashinyan said that the tax authority should take such steps that a number of economic entities do not have an opinion that, as before, selective justice operates in Armenia and they should not have a vestige of doubt about possibility of having shadow agreements. At the same time, as the Prime Minister pointed out, citizens of the country should be sure that demanding the cash receipt when buying goods, they contribute to the replenishment of the budget. "Our policy should not be punitive, but tuned to a constructive dialogue," Nikol Pashinyan said.
