ArmInfo.Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan received a delegation led by Czech Ambassador to Armenia Petr Mikyska.
According to the press service of the Ministry, during the meeting, Ambassador Mikyska presented a program in the north of Armenia, according to which laboratory studies were conducted to find out the impact of mining on the environment and human health, and to promote public participation in the decision-making process.
In his turn, Minister Grigoryan acquainted guests with legislative and institutional reforms in Armenia, which provide public discussions of planned activities with the participation of the public in the decision- making process.
Mikyska also said that the results of the carried out researches, after they have been processed, will be submitted to the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia. Minister Grigoryan considered it useful to carry out such studies carried out by partner organizations, noting that they contribute to improving the effectiveness of policies in this sector.
