ArmInfo. Vice-Speaker of National Assembly Michael Melkumyan on July 19 met the businessmen from Slovakia and Bulgaria.
According to the press service of the Parliament, during the meeting, issues of cooperation and implementation of investment programs in various spheres of the economy were discussed. The vice- speaker of the National Assembly presented the guests with the political situation in Armenia, noting that favorable conditions have been created to implement investment programs in Armenia. Melkumian also turned to anti-monopoly and anti-corruption reforms.
The Deputy Chairman of the Armenian Parliament expressed concern over the recent transfer of Dana's self-propelled howitzer artillery system from Slovakia to Israel for the purpose of transferring to Azerbaijan, noting that the deal should be suspended. Slovak and Bulgarian businessmen presented their vision of investment programs. It was noted that Armenia is an excellent bridge between the EU and the EAEU and, using this opportunity effectively, serious progress in the development of the economy can be recorded.
