Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Karen Nazaryan, during the meeting with the chief negotiator of the Office for Foreign Policy and Commonwealth of Great Britain with Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Sarah Croft, noted the importance of initiating the process of ratifying the Armenia-EU comprehensive and expanded partnership agreement (CEPA) United Kingdom.
As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, Nazaryan expressed the hope that the discussions planned in the House of Lords will go smoothly and will pave the way for ratification of the agreement.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the process for the UK's withdrawal from the EU. In this context, the interlocutors touched upon the possibility of forming a new bilateral legal framework after the Brexit process, as well as the issues of modernization of the agreements existing between Armenia and the SC.
