ArmInfo. The NSS conducted searches In the house of ex-deputy minister of defense of Armenia, former vice-premier of Artsakh, ex-adviser to the president of Artsakh, lieutenant-general Artur Aghabekyan. Aghabekyan wrote this on his Facebook page, sharply criticizing the actions of law enforcement agencies.
According to Artur Aghabekyan, pursuant to the decision of the Yerevan general court of July 10, July 13, in the Aqhabekyan's house in the village of Metz Tagher, 11 law firms CJSC Metakskombinat, Nor kianq center in Togh village were searched, with the aim to identify the assistance received in April 2016 and other prohibited items.
"According to the aforementioned decision of the court, I allegedly appropriated the assistance, and part of it was given to Manvel Grigoryan. Such shameful and far-fetched accusations can only be expected from the failed judicial system," Artur Aghabekyan wrote.
According to the ex-deputy minister, these are absolutely disgraceful accusations, therefore he sent a written appeal to the Prosecutor General and the National Security Service with a view to obtaining explanations. "With regard to the operational data provided by the NSS, I appeal to the Director of the National Security Service to study the operational data obtained, considering the fact that since May 2015 I did not communicate with Manvel Grigoryan at all, during the April war I met him twice - at official events with the President of Artsakh", said Aghabekyan. He noted that he was not a member of the commission for the distribution of assistance received from abroad, but merely provided advice and was responsible for the propaganda of the commission.
"Gentlemen, do not disgrace the Republic! I expect a political evaluation of what happened in Artsakh, if the operative data were not provided by the government and the competent authorities of Artsakh," the lieutenant general emphasizes. In this case, as Aghabekyan noted, his house was searched three times - the first two times by Soviet troops and OMON, using violence against fellow villagers. "The last time, as Shmais would have said, was cultural invasion according to the letter of the law," Aghabekyan joked at the end, recalling the well-known statement of Arakel Movsisyan.
