As a result, Visa cardholders of VTB Bank (Armenia) can make online transfers from their Visa cards to Visa cards issued not only by Armenian banks (including VTB Bank (Armenia)) 24 hours a day, but also by international banks the whole world. The service is available for transfers in 4 currencies: drams, dollars, rubles and euros. For remittances from the card to the card, there is a commission of 0.9-2%, which is automatically debited at the time of the transaction. According to the source, transfers from the card to the card can also be made through the new Cash-in ATMs of VTB Bank (Armenia), which will enable Visa cardholders to instantly refill their card in cash with up to 90 banknotes (not one by one, but a bundle) of different denominations. Thanks to this, the process of replenishing the card will become the most comfortable and will last for seconds. In addition, with the new Cash-in ATMs of VTB Bank (Armenia), customers were given the opportunity to instantly transfer the amount replenished to the card all over the world.
"The service provided the opportunity for clients to make money transfers to relatives and friends not to be limited to working hours of the Bank and to save time for visiting branches," the Bank said.
According to the 16th issue of the analytical review "Armenian Banks in Card Business" prepared by NA ArmInfo, VTB Bank (Armenia) holds the leading position in terms of the number of active cards, both general and MasterCard and Visa, as well as the volume of plastic transactions. So, on October 1, 2017, the Bank has almost 334 thousand cards, of which over 181 thousand are MasterCard and about 153 thousand are Visa. For 9 months of 2017, the volume of plastic transactions on VTB Bank (Armenia) cards was 181.2 billion drams, of which about 93% or 167.2 billion are ATM transactions. The Bank managed to increase the volume of plastic transactions in the annual cut by 13.5%, and ATM transactions by 14%. Until 2013, VTB Bank (Armenia) issued and serviced only international VISA cards, and since September of that year, becoming a full member of the international payment system MasterCard Worldwide, started issuing and servicing Cirrus / Maestro and MasterCard cards, along with servicing and local ArCa cards.
