ArmInfo. Georgia extradited to Armenia, wanted by Pyotr Tsygankov, accused of armed attack on Converse Bank.
As the press service of the RA Police told ArmInfo, Tsygankov was discovered on the territory of Georgia on December 17, 2017 due to the close interaction of the Georgian Interior Ministry and the Armenian police.
Piotr Tsygankov with a group of people organized a robbery. October 9, 2017 at 11:05 the man under the pretext of the transaction entered the branch of Converse Bank on Sayat-Nova Street and, threatening the manager, demanded money. Having received an amount equivalent to $ 200 thousand, he left the bank. On this fact, a criminal case was opened on the grounds of an article about a robbery. As a result of the operative-search operations, the identity of the persons who committed the crime was clarified and measures were taken to establish their location. Thanks to the operative-search work of the Police and the National Security Service of Armenia, the other accomplices of the crime were found and detained on the night of October 14. The procedure for the extradition of Pyotr Tsygankov concludes the judicial proceedings of this criminal case.
