ArmInfo. Transport aircraft EMERCOM of Russia Il-76 delivered to Syria humanitarian cargo weighing more than 30 tons. This is reported by the Federal News Agency with reference to the press service of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria.
According to the Center, the transport plane of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Il-76, departed the day before from Zvartnots airport in Armenia, landed at the Syrian airfield Khmeimim. Aboard the air vessel there are more than 30 tons of humanitarian aid, which was prepared by the Armenian-Russian humanitarian response center. As part of humanitarian supplies, buckwheat and rice cereals, vegetable oil, as well as basic necessities. In the near future, humanitarian aid will be delivered to the peaceful inhabitants of Syria, which are located in hard-to-reach areas of the Syrian Arab Republic.
In total, more than 100 tons of humanitarian aid will be delivered by planes from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia from Armenia to the airfield "Khmeimim" for the residents of Syria.
