ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who is on a working visit to Brussels, met with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker on July 12. As the press service of the Armenian government informs, the parties discussed prospects of development of the Armenia- EU relations in the context of democratic reforms in the Republic of Armenia.
According to Juncker, the EU is encouraged by the peaceful and democratic character of recent events in Armenia. He expressed readiness for continuous assistance to democratic processes in the Republic of Armenia.
The Prime Minister of Armenia expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Armenia in recent years. He assured that henceforth the institutional, financial and consulting assistance of the EU will be used more targeted. At the same time Pashinyan stressed that the fight against corruption is one of the priorities of the new government of Armenia.
