ArmInfo. Armenia is ready to cooperate with all the partners, including with Europe, and the signing of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement testifies to this, the Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan stated today, responding to a question from journalists about who Armenia tends towards more Russia, or Europe.
"Not coincidently, the Prime Minister made his first visit to Georgia, it is very important for us to deepen our relations with Georgia. The invitation of the prime minister to Iran was recently confirmed, the date of visit is being planned at the moment. It is notable that one of the first visits of the prime minister was paid to Russia. Despite the fact that the format was multilateral, meetings were held, "the deputy minister stressed.
He noted that each state is guided by its own interests in its foreign policy. "One should not expect from any country more than the country's interests require. In this light, Armenia's foreign policy is clear, not pro-Russian, not pro-Western, but pro-Armenian," Kocharyan said.
Kocharyan considered natural interest of foreign countries towards Armenia, both during and after the revolution. "Overall, interest in Armenia has increased, this applies to Europe, Russia, and the United States," Kocharyan said.
At the same time the Deputy Minister noted the importance of Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Brussels. " We will see the results of the visit in the near future," the Deputy Foreign Minister assured.
