The United Kingdom House of Commons approved the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) today and transferred it to the House of Lords for final ratification, Tigran Balayan, Spokesman of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, said this with reference to the Armenian Embassy in London.
"The Armenian Embassy in London informs that the House of Commons of the United Kingdom approved today the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and transferred it to the House of Lords for final ratification," Balayan wrote on his Facebook page.
To note, the framework agreement on comprehensive and enhanced partnership between Armenia and the EU was signed on November 24 in Brussels. The Armenian parliament unanimously ratified the agreement in April 2018. On the part of the EU member states it has already been ratified by Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, the European Parliament. Since June 1 of this year, a temporary application of the framework agreement has been launched.
