On July 10, in the CSTO Secretariat, under the chairmanship of the Kazakh side, a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held, in which the Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CSTO member states and the CSTO Deputy Secretaries-General participated.
Within the framework of the information exchange in the CSTO format directly related to the security of the member states of the Organization, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia, David Virabyan, informed the members of the CSTO Permanent Council about the situation in the sector of the Armenian-Azeri border on the Nakhijevan direction.
Earlier, CSTO Secretary General Yury Khachaturov said that the Organization is following with concern the situation developing in the Nakhijevan direction of the Armenian-Azeri border.
In recent months, Azerbaijan has deliberately increased tension on the Nakhijevan section, moving its positions forward and undertaking provocative actions.
