ArmInfo. Hayk Grigoryan was appointed chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. The decision on this was taken at a meeting of the Armenian government on July 10.
Congratulating Hayk Grigoryan on his appointment, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the fight against corruption and crime is a priority for the country's government. He pointed to the importance of restoring the rule of law in the country. At the same time, the Prime Minister demanded to exclude abuses during the investigation. "All issues need to be addressed exclusively in the legal field, human rights must not be affected.In the fight against abuse, we must 100% ensure the legality, so that there is no other assessment of the actions of law enforcement agencies," the head of the Armenian government said.
To recall, the former head of the IC Aghvan Hovsepyan was dismissed from June 15, 2018.
