ArmInfo. On June 23, the first Spartakiad of VTB Bank (Armenia) was held in the territory of the Park Resort Aghveran, where more than 500 employees of the head office and branches took part.
As the press service of the Bank reports, the competitions were held in 8 sports: football, volleyball, tug-of- war, running, table tennis, arm-wrestling, darts, blitz chess.
At the solemn opening ceremony of the Spartakiad, Ivan Telegin, General Director-Chairman of the Directorate of VTB Bank (Armenia), greeted the guests and participants, stressing the importance of holding sporting events in the team.
After the end of the competition, the ceremonial closing of the Games and the awarding ceremony took place. Accompanied by a drum roll and fireworks, the winners were awarded cups and certificates.
Martik Hakobyan became the winner of the first Spartakiad Games of VTB Bank (Armenia) in blitz chess; in armwrestling - among women - Armine Abrahamyan, among men in the weight category below 80 kg. - Vigen Mehrabyan, among men in the weight category above 80 kg. - Sargis Arakelyan; in table tennis - Mikael Zargaryan; in darts - Zaruhi Arutyunova; in the race - in the women's race - Arevik Khachatryan, in the men's race - Sargis Samsonyan; in the tug of war - Felix Tumanyan, Grigor Ayvazyan, Armine Abrahamyan, Lusine Stepanyan, Garegin Ambardzumyan; in volleyball - Martuni Vardapetyan, Vahe Adyan, Vachagan Arakelyan, Mary Hovhannesyan, Suzanne Petrosyan, Svetlana Petrosyan, Avag Asatryan and Arman Sirunyan; in football - Henry Vardanyan, Levon Nikolyan, Rudik Galstyan, Hrachya Grigoryan, Sargis Arakelyan, Taron Galstyan, Vahe Papikyan and Raphael Hovhannisyan.
