The Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia Suren Papikyan stated during the meeting with the newly appointed Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.
He stressed that the maximum use of the existing potential between the two countries comes from the interests of Armenia and Russia.
The Russian diplomat noted that the sphere of territorial administration is one of the most important components of constructive cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador assured that he will make every effort to ensure that the duration of the relationship between the two countries, and to give them new dynamics and content, in the changing geopolitical environment Highly appreciating the Armenian-Russian close cooperation in the military-political and economic integration structures and security structures, Papikyan said, that further deepening and intensification of these relations will have a positive impact on regional stability and full realization of economic potential.
During the meeting the sides also touched upon the preparations for the 7th Armenian-Russian inter- regional conference to be held this week in Yerevan and expressed confidence that the forum will serve as a stimulus for the development and strengthening of bilateral inter-regional cooperation in the spheres of industry, information technology, tourism, agriculture and the humanitarian field.
