"Starting from today, the volume of gasoline allocated for cars serving the Prime Minister's office will be cut by half, thus saving at least 56 million drams a year," Aghajanyan wrote.
Earlier, on June 1, Eduard Aghajanyan, the Chief of the Government's Staff, told journalists that the survey show that the budget of the Staff of the Armenian government has been bloated over the years. According to him, there were a lot of illogical and unjustified expenses. "The matter concerns official cars and coupons for diesel fuel, obviously, our government will act incomparably more efficiently, ," he assured. Eduard Aghajanian informed that the number of official vehicles at the disposal of the Government is currently 110, but it should be reduced by 30%. 300 liters of gasoline, which are allocated weekly for the needs of department heads, are too much, according to him.
