ArmInfo. The ''Gyumri-Garedjour'' Beer Factory did not pay 360 million drams to the state treasury in total, 210 million drams of which are the excise tax and over 150 million drams- the income tax, the RA State Revenue Committee informs.
The State Revenue Committee revealed that the "Gyumri-Garedjour" company sold its products, mainly to inter-related companies, setting non-market prices. In addition, it was revealed that the company widely used the services of numerous individual entrepreneurs (IP), paying only the turnover tax. A preliminary study revealed that these services were not actually provided to the plant, but they were deducted from gross income.
According to the preliminary report on tax liabilities, the amount of tax arrears of the company exceeds the minimum wage fifteen thousand times, in connection with which a criminal case was initiated in accordance with Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
To note, the final beneficiary of the Gyumri brewery is the former mayor of the second most important city of Armenia Samvel Balasanyan, who began his political career from the post of director of this privatized enterprise becoming MP, and then the mayor. His son Misak Balasanyan is the chairman of the council of the enterprise.
