ArmInfo. On June 20, Defense Minister David Tonoyan received Ambassador of Lebanon to Armenia Maya Daguerre.
According to the press service of the Defense Ministry, Tonoyan presented the current level of the Armenian-Lebanese cooperation in the field of defense and directions of mutual interest. He noted the expediency of modernizing the legal framework for cooperation and intensifying the military-political dialogue at a high level.
Davit Tonoyan told the ambassador that the Armenian government approved the Defense Ministry's proposal to appoint a military attache of Armenia in Lebanon, which will give a new opportunity for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense.
In turn, Ambassador Daguerre noted the willingness of the Lebanese side to withdraw the Armenian- Lebanese cooperation in the field of defense to a higher level.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed a number of other issues related to bilateral cooperation and regional security.
