ArmInfo. On June 20, Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan received the Greek Ambassador to Armenia Nafsika Nancy Eva Vraila. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense, during the meeting the sides discussed issues related to the Armenian-Greek cooperation in the field of defense.
The sides also touched upon the provisions of the draft updated Intergovernmental Agreement, and the prospects for cooperation in the military and military-technical fields after its signing.
The Defense Minister noted that the events planned by the Defense Ministries of Armenia and Greece for 2018 will be continued, as they concern areas of mutual interest.
In turn, the Ambassador of Greece in Armenia confirmed the readiness of the Greek side to continue and develop cooperation with the Armenian Defense Ministry, emphasizing, in particular, cooperation in the field of military education. During the meeting, the interlocutors also discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of security and defense within the framework of NATO and the EU.
