ArmInfo. There is no corruption in Armenia at the moment, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in an interview to RT, answering to a question about what he managed to do during his tenure as prime minister regarding the issue of anti-corruption policy.
To journalist's wonder how it became possible in such a short period of time Pashinyan said: "Yes, this was achieved in such a short period of time. I can tell this as there is anti-corruption environment in Armenia currently. Of course, there may be certain incidents remaining from the corrupted past, but I think that the new environment will guarantee continuation of this situation".
The Armenian Prime Minister also assured that the most important factor in ensuring changes in the country is change of people's thinking. According to him this is a very vital factor, which helped to make the revolution without any significant clashes and without bloodshed. Pashinyan also expressed assurance that the main result of the Armenian revolution is not change of power but change of mindset which does not depend on the government.
Answering to the question what relations he has with the Republican Party and Serzh Sargsyan Pashinyan noted that Sargsyan lives in his neighborhood, but actually they have no relations. "As for the Republican Party, it has lost its majority in our parliament and has become an ordinary opposition", the Prime Minister said.
The Head of the Armenian government ruled out Republican Party's comeback in the elections: ''This is not real. They will never come back. There may be other parties, other forces, which may win the elections, but the Republicans will never return, it is obvious. And this does not depend on me, as people will never forgive them. I can guarantee this. In any case this is how I feel and I am sure of it'', he said. Talking about the future plans of the Civil Contract party headed by him and Yelk bloc, Pashinyan informed that currently discussions are being held on the bloc's future, while the Civil Contract party will continue its activities no matter of its further participation e in the bloc.
He also assured that he is not afraid of return of his political opponents on their positions. "I am not like those prime ministers who is ever afraid of losing his position. I am not used to fear in my political activities, I just do what I find necessary and what I believe I should do to serve my country and my people", the Armenian Prime Minister summarized.
