"The required component must be removed from this system. The Prime Minister himself noted that there is such a problem, there is a problem related to the constitution. We are now actually setting a goal to resolve this issue within the framework of justice and the constitution," the deputy noted.
Armen Rustamyan also said that the government's decision to mitigate the mandatory component in the system is an intermediate step. "We are not in favor of this process. We will fight, and we will achieve that the mandatory component of the system will be seized," concluded Rustamyan.
On May 11, at an extraordinary meeting of the government, a quarrel about the pension savings system broke out between the minister from ARF Artsvik Minasyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The Minister of Economic Development and Investments stated that he is against this system, to which Pashinyan stated: "I will not allow one of the ministers in my government, based on certain considerations, to try to look more principled than other members of the Cabinet. us, he is against us. " A similar response was made to the objections of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mane Tandilyan, who is also opposed to this pension system. The statements of the prime minister had a proper effect on the ministers, and during the voting on the document they unanimously supported him. On May 12, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mane Tandilyan, resigned. Its decision, she justified a contradiction in the implementation of mandatory funded pension system with the current Cabinet. She also reported her withdrawal from the "Enlightened Armenia" party, since it was her quota that was appointed by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
Since July 1 in Armenia comes into force mandatory funded pension system, which will affect 280 thousand citizens of the republic. According to the new order, citizens will transfer 2.5% of their salary to the special fund account, and the state 7.5%. Previously, the ratio was 5% to 5%.
