ArmInfo.Armenia highly appreciates Russia's mediation efforts as a co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group on an exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. On June 12, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stated at a solemn reception at the Russian Embassy in Armenia on the occasion of Russia's Day.
"I warmly congratulate all Russians on the Day of Russia, on this day the Russians honor their Motherland - a country with a thousand-year history and a unique heritage." The country that unites many nations, cultures and destinies in a vast space. At the same time, he stressed that the peoples of the two countries are tied with many deep threads, a solid foundation on which the multifaceted interstate relations of Armenia and Russia are being built, which are developing confidently along the lines of allied interaction. According to him, this strategic course invariably develops on the principles laid down in the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance and in the Declaration on Allied Cooperation between Armenia and Russia.
"The Armenian-Russian allied strategic relations are based on a solid juridical base, are distinguished by an active dialogue at the highest level, broad foreign policy coordination, constructive interaction at multilateral international and regional platforms, fruitful cooperation in the security sphere, military and military-technical fields.
Strong ties are maintained between governments, parliaments, and various departments of the two countries. Expanding fruitful cooperation in trade, economic, energy, transport, innovation, and mining areas, important investment projects are being implemented, interregional ties are gaining momentum year after year, and cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and other areas is consistently developing, "the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
At the same time, Mnatsakanian expressed conviction that the Armenian community of Russia, as well as the Russians living in Armenia, who have become another living bridge connecting our countries and peoples with concrete names and destinies, their interweaving, make a significant contribution to strengthening the relations of friendship between the countries. "I would like to thank all those who have contributed and continue to contribute to the friendship of our fraternal peoples who are trying to enrich it with their daily work, which is not always advertised, I am convinced that thanks to joint efforts the Armenian-Russian relations will be further strengthened for the benefit of our states and peoples, in the interests of peace, security and stability in the South Caucasus, " Mnatsakanyan said.
