ArmInfo. The "Tsarukyan" bloc took up arms against the new government of Armenia.
The reason for the discontent of the Tsarukyans was the bill on charity, which should be discussed at an extraordinary session of the parliament on June 19.
The vice-speaker from the bloc, Mikayel Melkumian, expressed his outrage at the parliament's podium to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan who "dared" to submit the bill to the NA discussion without consulting with the bloc leader Gagik Tsarukyan, who, according to Melkumyan, carried out 95% of charity in Armenia. "All that the state should do is done by Tsarukyan, and you did not even consult with him about it, I am very concerned about this fact," Melkumyan said.
He also stressed that a similar situation has arisen on the issue of introducing a mandatory funded pension system, a decision on which the Pashinyan government took solely, without consulting with other forces. Melkumyan also expressed dissatisfaction with the decrease in the speed of inspections in the country's large enterprises
"You know, we had a lot of comments on the government program, but we did not sound them based on the logic of partnership, but we expect the same from you, otherwise it turns out that we are not satisfied with the pace of formation of the" new Armenia "and in general our positions on the construction of a new state are different, " the vice-speaker said.
In turn, the deputy from the bloc, the press secretary of Gagik Tsarukyan, Iveta Tonoyan, said that the bill was the last decision of former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan against Gagik Tsarukyan. "This was the last step in the repression of Karapetyan against Tsarukyan, which was marked by constant inspections in his enterprises," Tonoyan said, expressing hope that the bill will be revised.
The secretary of the Tsarukyan faction Naira Zohrabyan explained what causes their displeasure in the document: "It is not clear who, why and how it will be solely and subjectively determine what falls under the concept of" charity "and what is not." She expressed indignation with the fact that the policy of "repressions" against Tsarukyan started by the previous authorities is trying to continue the current ones. "If the draft law is not revised, we will call upon Tsarukyan to cease charitable activity from July 1, and all those who will apply to us with requests for help will be sent to the government, with all the ensuing consequences," Zohrabyan said.
