ArmInfo. The "Elk" bloc is discussing the format of participation in the forthcoming parliamentary elections. This was stated on June 12 in an interview with journalists by the deputy from the Elk faction, the head of the Republic Party Aram Sarkissian.
According to him, currently all options are discussed and the separate participation of the parties included in the bloc, and the consolidation of participation. "It is even possible that a new party will be created on the basis of the bloc," the deputy said. At the same time, he adheres to the position of the consolidated participation of the bloc in the elections.
Meanwhile, in private conversations the representatives of the Civil Contract party Nikola Pashinyan admit that they are inclined to participate in the parliamentary elections separately, since the State Duma is currently very popular, and she does not need to draw two other parties of the Yelk bloc as ballast.
To note, according to the Government program, early parliamentary elections in Armenia should be held before June 2019.
