ArmInfo. The ARMENAL Rolling Mill, a member of RUSAL, annually receives over one hundred students from Yerevan universities for familiarization, production and pre-graduation practice. The most close ties were established at the enterprise with the National Polytechnic University, with which in 2002 a cooperation agreement was signed.
This educational institution is considered the main forge of personnel for ARMENAL. "About a quarter of our staff and half of our top managers are graduates of Polytech," said Samvel Hakobyan, head of the personnel development and training department of the plant. "ARMENAL needs young technical personnel, primarily power engineers, mechanics, hydraulics a new agreement with the university, work on which is currently underway."
Among other universities, actively cooperating with ARMENAL, S. Hakobyan named the American University of Armenia, the Russian-Armenian State Economic and State Pedagogical University.
In the course of practice, under the guidance of experienced specialists, students study technology and various stages of foil rolling production, get acquainted with the economy of an industrial enterprise. Senior students of the American University of Armenia develop engineering solutions that can be useful for the plant.
