ArmInfo. Armenia is interested in further deepening of cooperation with the United States. This was stated by Armenian President Armen Sarkissian during a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State Brigitte Brink.
The Armenian President noted the role of the US as co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, and other mediators from Russia and France towards a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
In turn, Brink congratulated Armenia on the 100th anniversary of the First Republic. Highly appreciating the permanent efforts to develop the Armenian-American partnership, Brink praised the actions of the Armenian President during the protests in the country aimed at their peaceful resolution. "The US will continue to cooperate with the government and the people of Armenia in the fight against corruption in the country, the formation of an enabling environment for American investors, the promotion of human rights, and the development of tourism," she concluded.
