ArmInfo.On May 25, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the director of the office of the Secretary-General of the International Organization of Francophonie Jean-Louis Atangana Amougou and the special adviser to the Secretary-General Herve Lads.
According to the press service of the Armenian Government, Pashinyan noted the importance of holding the 17th Summit of Francophonie in Armenia, noting that this testifies both to cooperation with francophone countries and to confidence in the Republic of Armenia.
The Prime Minister noted that the Armenian authorities will do their utmost to hold the Summit at a high level. Pashinyan also stressed that an economic forum will be held within the framework of the Summit and expressed hope that its results will contribute to the development of economic activity in Armenia. The head of the Armenian government believes that holding the summit of the Francophonie will give a new impetus to the teaching and learning of the French language in Armenia.
In turn, Jean-Louis Atangana Amougou said that from April to May 2018 Armenia was in the center of attention of the member countries of the Francophonie and noted that in the final analysis Armenia became an exemplary state. Jean-Louis Atangan Amougou stressed that the Secretary General trusted Pashinyan and the Armenian government in the matter of a competent organization of the summit, and expressed confidence that it would be held at a high level.
During the meeting the sides discussed issues related to the arrangement of the upcoming Summit.
