ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian called for studying the written response on the issue of his citizenship.
"I have already given a written answer to this question, if you are interested in it, you can get acquainted with it," Sarkissian told reporters on the margins of the 27th meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.
Earlier, Sargsyan said that he was a British citizen. "In 2000, when I was dismissed from the ambassador's post by an appropriate decree, I applied for British citizenship and got it in 2002. Then, in 2011, I gave up citizenship," Sargsyan said.
He also presented the relevant documents confirming this fact to Nikol Pashinyan during the protest actions in Yerevan. However, these documents for some reason were not made public.
