ArmInfo. On May 24, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian received the head of the staff of the Secretary-General of the International Organization of the Francophonie, Jean-Louis Atangana Amougou, according to the presidential press service.
Sarkissian stressed that the country's authorities attach great importance to the organization of the Summit of the Francophonie, which will be held in Yerevan in autumn 2018, and assured that Armenia will fulfill its obligation with honor. The President noted that recently all political processes were transferred to the National Assembly, a new government was formed. "Armenia continues preparations for the Summit," the president assured.
In turn, Jean-Louis Atangana Amougou, referring to the recent events in Armenia, noted that civil processes were resolved in the best way, and attached importance to the role of the president in this matter. He said that the revolution in Armenia, which took place without violence and bloodshed, can become instructive for many countries.
