ArmInfo.The timing of the partial implementation of the Armenia- EU comprehensive and expanded partnership agreement remains unchanged. Tigran Balayan, spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, stated this at a press conference in Yerevan on May 22.
He recalled that the Armenian parliament has already ratified this document, as well as the legislative bodies of some EU member states, moreover the Committee of the European Parliament on Foreign Affairs approved the ratification of the Agreement on comprehensive and expanded partnership of the European Union with Armenia. "Now we expect the ratification of the agreement by all EU member states," concluded Balayan.
On May 11, in Yerevan, on the margins of the opening of the Days of Europe in Armenia, the head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Piotr Switalski, announced that on June 1, the partial implementation of the Armenia-EU comprehensive and expanded partnership agreement will start.
Moreover, the Bulgarian Ambassador to Armenia Maria Pavlova Tzotzorkova-Kaymaktchieva reported on May 16 that the Bulgarian parliament intends to ratify the Armenia-EU framework agreement in the near future.
The Armenia-EU framework agreement has already been ratified by the parliaments of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
