ArmInfo.Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mantsakanyan held a telephone conversation with Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell.
According to the MFA press service, Mitchell noted that the United States is ready to work with the new government of Armenia in various fields of interest for both countries.
In his turn Mnatsakanyan stressed that Armenia highly appreciates multilateral cooperation between the two countries and is ready to continue work on their further development.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the issues on the agenda. The interlocutors also addressed the activities of the Armenian-American intergovernmental commission and the Armenian-American Council on Trade and Investment.
The sides also exchanged views on the problems of the regional and international agenda. Touching upon the situation in Artsakh, Minister Mnatsakanyan noted the importance of the initiatives of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, including the US, in the direction of an exceptionally peaceful settlement of the Karabakh issue.
