ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan urged Armenian citizens to stop all civil disobedience actions in all regions of the country from 3 pm today.
According to the Prime Minister, the citizens of the country do not need to disobey the authorities that enjoy their confidence, are elected by the people, and which are aimed solely at solving the problems of citizens.
In addition, as stated in his speech in Facebook, Nikol Pashinyan in Armenia carried out a "revolution of love and solidarity." "Today it's time to show citizens that in fact they are the heads of the country and the authorities and the time to carry out the tasks of this revolution," he said.
As the head of the Armenian government pointed out, for today it can be stated that the citizen of Armenia has already won. The key moment of this revolution, he said, is not that Nikol Pashinyan was elected to the post of prime minister, but that the citizens of Armenia decided who will lead the Armenian Cabinet. "At the time when we blocked the streets and held protests, we were sure that we are doing this because of the lack of legitimate authorities ready to listen to citizens, live their problems and protect the rights of the people." But today, when the power of the people is established in Armenia, frankly, it is not very clear the citizens' desire to close streets on a daily basis and conduct actions of civil disobedience, "he said.
According to Pashinyan, expressing disobedience, the citizens of the country express disobedience to the authorities, in this case, to the authorities elected by the people and having the appropriate mandate of its confidence. "To whom do we disobey? I think the approach is not very correct," he said.
According to the Prime Minister, during the last time for the day the government apparatus receives more letters from citizens than received a month under the former Cabinet. But, as he noted, all tasks cannot be resolved immediately and in one day. It takes time and it is necessary to find solutions in proportion to their importance and efficiency, the prime minister said.
He urged citizens, if there are problems, to send letters to the government apparatus, call the hotline 1-17, and delegations from the provinces to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development.
Recall that on the eve in various parts of the Armenian capital, citizens of the country on various issues went to actions of civil disobedience and blocked a number of streets.
