ArmInfo. "We won, and we will never lose, thus victory will be the guidebook of the Armenian people," the leader of the opposition movement, MP Nikol Pashinyan turned to the rally participants in Gyumri with these words.
"We will win in the Karabakh talks, we will have economic victories, we will overcome poverty and corruption," he assured. At the same time, Pashinyan assured that many are trying to reduce this struggle to ordinary gnawing for posts. "But that is not true, just to finally to fix the victory of the people, there is no other way than to achieve the election of a popular candidate for the post of prime minister. If I knew that there is another way, I would refuse to nominate to the post of prime minister, "Pashinyan said.
At that, he stressed that Karen Karapetyan should realize that he cannot be Armenian Prime Minister. "He should understand that there is no that Armenia where he can be the Prime Minister. Today we have new Armenia. If Karapetyan does not understand this, he will become the enemy of the nation, he will have the same destiny as Serzh Sargsyan's", he stated.
Pashinyan again stressed that the way out of this situation is the nomination and election of all parliamentary forces, including the Republican Party, for his candidacy for the post of prime minister. "If this does not happen, the number of protesters from hundreds of thousands will increase to millions," the oppositionist threatened.
At the same time, Pashinyan assured that his premiership would mean the premiership of every citizen of Armenia, otherwise the entire struggle has no meaning. "The only goal of my life was and still is the victory of the citizens of Armenia, and to achieve this goal I am ready to sacrifice my life." Serzh Sargsyan was not right when he said that no one would come to the streets for Nikol. They came out not for Nikol, but for protection of their rights and freedom, "Pashinyan said.
Further, he reported on the further actions of the movement. So, on April 28, activists will visit Vanadzor, where a rally will be held. On April 29, protest actions will begin in Yerevan again, as Pashinyan assured, with a new strength and power. Well, on May 1, when the prime minister's elections are to be held in the parliament, Pashinyan will fill all streets and squares of Yerevan from 8:00.
The rally ended with a march through the streets of Gyumri. Almost every participant of the rally wanted to personally communicate with Pashinyan.
