ArmInfo. 1915 went down in history as the year of the Armenian Genocide - a monstrous crime, carried out in Ottoman Turkey at the state level. On April 24, the  whole Armenian people mourn and bow before the holy memory of the  victims of the Armenian Genocide. This is stated in the message of the President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan.

The message, in particular, notes that this is a tribute to 1.5  million compatriots: innocent children, old people and women,  cultural and art figures, state and political persons, ordinary  people who fell victim to the Turkish scimitar only because they were  Armenians . Hundreds of thousands of Armenians have become exiles,  leaving their homes and finding shelter in different parts of the  world.

"Our people managed to survive this bloody disaster and not only  survive, but also to build their hearth again, to equip and defend  their native land with great victories." The evidence of these  victories is the existence today of two free, independent and  sovereign Armenian republics, which, thanks to united efforts and the  devotion of our people, our brothers and sisters from the Diaspora,  take a firm step to a reliable future. The Armenian Genocide is a  deep pain for the whole Armenians, which obliges us to be always  vigilant and careful, do everything possible to  consistently  strengthen and strengthen the Armenian independent statehood. To be  united, united, believe and hope for our own strength, above all put  national interests and values. This is the only way of progress of  our people, this is the most important lesson of the Armenian  Genocide, "reads the message of the President of Artsakh.
