ArmInfo.Armenian President Armen Sargsyan yesterday evening addressed the citizens of the country.
As Sargsyan said, the absence of hope for the future and accumulated social problems led to the mass unrests in Armenia. "We have stated many times that there are many problems in the country, lack of faith in the future, social obstacles, feelings of dissatisfaction, which led to the people's movement." These factors are significant for the citizens of the country. "This is a historic moment for our homeland, it's time to create a new Armenia," the words of Armen Sargsyan his press office reads. The President also noted that he "deeply appreciates the wise decision of Serzh Sargsyan. Armenian Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan, who was elected to this post by the parliament on April 17, resigned on the eve of the growing opposition rallies.The opposition rallies demanding the resignation of Sargsyan began in Yerevan on April 13.
